Semfora PM

Connect your AI coding assistant to Linear. Get full ticket context, track progress, and never miss a requirement again.

Quick Start

1. Install Semfora PM

pip install semfora-pm

2. Set your Linear API key

export LINEAR_API_KEY=lin_api_...

3. Initialize your project

semfora-pm init

4. Add to your AI assistant config

Project Configuration

Run semfora-pm init in your project directory to create a .pm/config.yaml file that links your project to a Linear team and project.

MCP Tools

sprint_status

Get active sprint overview with ticket counts by state

get_ticket

Full ticket details including requirements and acceptance criteria

list_tickets

List and filter tickets by state, label, or priority

sprint_suggest

AI suggests next ticket to work on based on priority

get_related_tickets

Get blocking/blocked ticket relationships

update_ticket_status

Update ticket state (In Progress, In Review, Done)

Typical Workflow

1. Start of session

Check what's in the current sprint:

sprint_status()

2. Pick a ticket

Get AI suggestions or browse the backlog:

sprint_suggest() // or list_tickets({ state: "Todo" })

3. Understand requirements

Get full ticket context before coding:

get_ticket({ identifier: "SEM-123" })

4. Track progress

Update status as you work:

update_ticket_status({ identifier: "SEM-123", state: "In Progress" })

Linear Integration

Semfora PM syncs bidirectionally with Linear. All changes made through the CLI or MCP tools are reflected in Linear, and vice versa.
